Craig
has been involved in full time pastoral ministry
since 1977 and through his shepherd’s heart founded Rhythm
of Grace. He has always carried a strong desire for
the church to be equipped for service to the world
and to be cared for in its journey
toward Christlikeness.
In
2000 he responded to the faith stretching encouragement
to step outside of the structures
of the local church
to follow what he sensed were next steps toward, “the land
I will show you” (Gen.12:1).
The unfolding of Rhythm of Grace has come as a result
of his moving away from the present cultural pastoral
responsibilities to learn
to find space and time for listening for the voice
of God in a more classic Christian tradition (Jer. 6:16).
These
classic Christian traditions are rooted in the
biblical models of the Jewish and early Christian
disciplines, the historical church traditions of the
desert fathers and mothers, as
well as the incarnational approach lived out from
the
ancient Celtic patterns.
In
2001 Craig began to work with The
Leadership Institute as a means to further expose Pastors
to the ancient
paths of the classic spiritual disciplines. Both
ministries, Rhythm of
Grace and
The Leadership Institute, focus on the process
of integrating one’s
spiritual formation with their particular sphere’s of
influence, be that in a parish, home or marketplace environment.
Rev. Craig Babb (EPC) is a certified Spiritual Director

two grown children, Amanda and Cory. |
